| Last summer two BAVC Youth Sounds programs, The Factory and BUMP Records, decided to combine their creative talents to produce an original music video. The song "Help Me Please" was chosen, which features BUMP artists Will Bracy, Mr. Knowitall, Simon T, and Tyne Taz. Factory filmmakers Nathan Davis-Floyd and Ame Garrucho co-directed the project. The collaboration proved fruitful. Since then, the video has been chosen to screen in numerous film festivals nationally, including the upcoming Los Angeles Film Festival. It recently won Best Music Video at the Wesport Youth Film Festival and was honored with the top prize from Listen Up in their VIP2006 Competition in the Best Original Music category. The video was even presented in the course Bay Area Filmmakers at San Francisco State University, where Ame and Nathan were present to talk about their work. |
